Mindfulness and Movement in the Present Moment
PROJECTS
The projects of the Kunstverein Mitwelt are not isolated productions but formats of a shared practice.
They emerge through the interaction of space, body, material and social context. Research, encounter and artistic work are not separate but interwoven.
The Vulkanlabor is one of the central working formats of the Kunstverein.
It understands art as a method of transformation and space as a living assemblage. Processes emerge between movement, sound, material and perception. Open formats provide direct access to the practice. The space is accessible to neighbours, artists and interested participants. Observation, participation and collaboration overlap. Resonance formats make artistic processes publicly visible. Performative moments transition into open situations of exchange and continued work.
Discursive formats connect conversation, experience and artistic practice. Knowledge emerges situationally and is not separated from action. Residencies and collaborations bring diverse perspectives into the space. Artists and experts work on site and open their processes for exchange and shared development.
Transformative formats connect artistic practice with social experience. Performance, sound and encounter condense into shared situations. All formats follow a shared structure: they do not separate production and presentation but understand art as an open process.
